峨嵋山風景區，屹立在四川盆地西南部，位于峨眉山市西南7千米，東距樂山市37千米。景區面積約154平方公里，最高峰萬佛頂海拔3099米，是中國四大佛教名山之一。有寺廟約26座，重要的有八大寺廟，佛事頻繁。
